WISPs use fixed wireless broadband technology to deliver the same high speeds and service to traditional broadband providers but delivered wirelessly as opposed to through buried cables.Sooner Wireless is not to be confused with satellite access, like Hughes; or lumped in with cellular phone services which are slow, require handheld devices, and often have expensive data limits. Sooner Wireless Internet access does not suffer from the latency or weather fade that plagues satellite-based Internet delivery. Sooner Wireless is not affected by rain, fog or snow. Fixed wireless does not require satellite systems, a cable connection, or even local phone service. By eliminating many of the expenses associated with other high-speed services, we are able to pass much of the savings on to our customers, providing an affordable yet high-performance service for business and demanding residential users.Sooner Wireless uses a small microwave antenna that is attached to a radio at the customer premises. The Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) is pointed back to an access point on one of our communications towers. Even during rain or snow, your Sooner Wireless connection will be strong, reliable, and out of reach of falling limbs, outages, and other effects prone to wired networks.
Traditional cable broadband service via your TV provider is only available if the provider has already dug trenches and buried wires to your home or business. And for most, cable broadband also means you are pressured into purchasing a contract “bundle” of phone and TV services to get their best prices. Availability of cable broadband has no bearing on whether you can get Internet access from a WISP. Once a tower is broadcasting, wireless broadband is available to just about everyone for miles in every direction. A local wireless internet service provider provides competitive speeds and excellent customer service, often at lower prices. Plus, the added value of never having to deal with "big cable" again.

Satellite technology has similar reach of the WISPs but suffers from data lags called “latency” as the signals literally travel to space. Data usage caps are common and costs tend to be higher than those offered by fixed wireless providers. Wireless high speed broadband from a local WISP can prove an excellent alternative to satellite in rural areas where traditional broadband infrastructure has not yet been laid and customers are stuck with slow, expensive service.
WISP technology allows for 99.9% uptime, meaning as close to constant as possible, which is the same guarantee offered by large tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Social Media sites.

Take the following steps:
1. Unplug the power cord from the router. Wait 20-30 seconds and plug it back in and try to access the internet
2. If that doesn't work, unplug the power cord from the Sooner Wireless radio. Wait 20-30 seconds and plug it back in and try to access the internet
3. If that doesn't work, call Sooner Wireless at 405-309-9434
4. About 90% of service problems can be dealt with over the phone
5. If we can't resolve the problem over the phone, we will dispatch a technician to come to your home to resolve it
Oops. This is where Sooner Wireless is different from the competition; we are more hands on. We specifically assign static IP addresses to every single customer. Nobody else on the entire network has the same IP address as you. The upside: We eliminate the chances of internet traffic congestion. The downside: when you hit the reset button on the back of your router, it wipes out all of our configuration, including your wireless encryption protection.
Leave it to the wireless experts and we'll take care of you. Give us a call at 405-309-9434 and we'll most likely be able to walk you through how to re-input those configurations and get you back on the road.
A good tip! write in large letters on a sticky note "Do not push the reset button" and put it on your router!
